Future Farmers of America
FFA is an intracurricular student organization rooted in agricultural education and leadership. While the letters once stood strictly for Future Farmers of America, today FFA represents much more—welcoming students with interests in science, business, education, technology, and beyond.
In 1988, the official name was changed to the National FFA Organization to reflect the growing diversity in agricultural careers. Though our name evolved, our values and heritage remain strong.
FFA empowers students to grow as leaders, achieve personal success, and explore a wide range of career pathways—from farming and veterinary science to engineering, entrepreneurship, biology, and more.
We're still the Future Farmers of America—
but we're also the Future Biologists, Chemists, Veterinarians, Engineers, and Entrepreneurs of America.
